What does Jerome stand for, and what will he contribute to the Australian political environment?
The Australian Labor Party is Australia’s oldest political party. Our history is intertwined with the history of Australia’s democracy labour movement.
Labor has always aimed to, in the words of former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam: “Promote equality, to involve the people of Australia in the decision-making processes of our land, and to liberate the talents and uplift the horizons of the Australian people.”
Jerome is passionate about a range of issues but is particularly concerned about our climate and the future we are leaving for our children. He is concerned that the current Government has hugely delayed accountability to the Australian public by standing in the way of a much needed Federal ICAC. He also believes that much-needed affordable childcare is becoming further and further out of reach for working Australian families.
Electing Jerome as our leader in Bennelong means that these issues will be the forefront of his plan for our citizens, and for all Australians.
Are you wanting to contribute to the change that Australia needs?
The Liberal Party need Bennelong, but they’re so convinced that they don’t need to work for it that they’re giving the seat away to their friends in other electorates rather than choosing a local who knows the heart of Bennelong.
But Jerome isn’t the only local who knows the heart of Bennelong – YOU do too. It’s not just your vote we need to make the change, we also need you. We need you to volunteer wherever and however you can. If you wan’t to explore how you can help, Please sign up as a volunteer today, together we can make the change!
