Volunteer Grants Opportunity Expression of Interest

Volunteers make a profound impact both socially and economically and represent the very best in all of us by committing their time, efforts and often resources for the benefit of others.

Around 8.7 million Australians regularly volunteer within their respective communities to better causes, help others and complete jobs desperately needed.

As a volunteer, often you work without recognition and thanks but because you believe in giving and doing all that you can.

On behalf of all of us – Thank you.

Your remarkable efforts are adding value to society each and every day.

Volunteering comes in many different forms, from helping local sporting clubs, helping your local school or by helping others in need.

Our Australian Government not only thanks you but is also backing you and others like you with a $20 million Volunteer Grants program.

The grants of between $1000 and $5000 each – can be used to:

– purchase eligible small equipment items for use by volunteers

– contribute to volunteers’ fuel costs

– contribute to transport costs for volunteers with disability who are unable to drive;

– assist with the costs of training courses

– undertake background screening checks for volunteers

To register your interest please complete the Expression of Interest form below by 22nd January 2025 (final day for submissions)

Express your organisation’s interest in the 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Opportunity administered by the Department of Social Services. Please refer to the Grant Opportunity Guidelines for more information on eligibility requirements.
